Self-description in everyday interaction: Generalizations about oneself as accounts of behavior

چکیده

This article suggests that there are systematic ways in which the identity of ‘self’, as created and performed through first-person markers, can be made relevant consequential particular episodes interaction. More specifically, study looks at generalizations people present about themselves local interactional contexts: displays types they always or never behave (‘I am this kind person’, ‘I do this’). It will shown such self-generalizations typically used to account for one’s behavior, tendency is tied epistemic moral rights provided by perspective, having primary own experience. The speakers’ personal characteristics habitual behavior offered a locally produced micro-identity, come have significance.
